Ingredients For Low

1 prebake
Atkins pie crust
Filling

4 cup peeled and thinly sliced cooking apples

1 tbsp lemon
juice

1 egg
-
1 egg yolk
-
20 packets
Splenda sugar substitute

2 tablespoons
stone ground whole wheat flour

4 tablespoons
butter (1/2 stick), optional

1 teaspoon
ground cinnamon, optional
Preparation Method For
Low Carb Apple Pie

Sprinkle lemon juice over apples to prevent browning.
Lightly whisk the egg and egg yolk together. Combine the Splenda,
flour, and spices. Add to the whisked egg and whisk until well mixed.
Pour mixture over the apples to coat apples well. Fill the pie sheet with
the mixture and dot with optional butter.

Tear off 2 pieces of aluminium foil, each 12 by 13 inches.
Arrange the foil pieces crosswise and set the pie in the center. Turn up
the foil and shape it around the outer edge of the pie pan to cover the exposed,
fluted crust. Bake the pie for 40 minutes or until apple are done.
Cool and serve the pie. The pie will keep in the fridge for several days.
