Teriyaki Chicken


Teriyaki Chicken Recipe (6 Servings)

Ingredients for Teriyaki Chicken

  • 12 chicken legs and thighs

  • 1/2 cup olive oil

  • 1/2 cup soy protein seasoning

  • 1 table-spoon equivalent brown sugar substitute

  • 1 tablespoon grated orange rind

  • 1 tablespoon ginger

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1/3 cup sherry

  • oil for brushing

Preparation Method for Teriyaki Chicken

1. Place chicken in shallow baking dish.  Make marinade by blending the rest of ingredients.  Pour marinate over chicken.  Refrigerate for about 6 hours or overnight.  Turn occasionally.

2. Place chicken in broiler about 5 to 6 inches from heat (any closer it will burn).  Brush with small amount of oil.  Spoon marinate over chicken several time during broiling.  Broil to desired doness. 

Carbohydrate per serving of teriyaki chicken : 1.2 gram
